a new Gospel tract from Corvette Ministries!

I'm happy to report that there is a new Gospel tract from Corvette Ministries!

As promised, this one takes the best of the Corvette Gospel tract and makes it more generic to any US automobile.  The cover shows several US made cars and is titled, America Loves CARS!

Rather than to have Corvette-specific trivia inside, it has a general Timeline of the American Automobile.

The remainder of the tract is updated slightly, but the message is the same: the Good News of the Saving Grace of Jesus Christ our LORD.

Mission:

To spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ through the shared interest in America’s Sports Car: the Corvette

Assignment:

America loves the automobile.  At times we even seem to idolize them.  (The Bible cautions against creating idols, by the way!)  One of the country’s favorite cars is the Chevrolet Corvette.  My assignment is to take the love of the Corvette and turn it into opportunities to share the gospel.

History:

I was at Walmart one day and as I stepped away from my 2004 C5 Corvette, a guy standing next to a pickup truck struck up a conversation with me.  “What year is your Corvette?” he asked.

I talked with the guy for a few minutes, then excused myself to make my purchases.  As I walked away, it occurred to me it would be great if I had a special gospel tract featuring a sports car on the cover to hand out on just such an occasion.  I get asked about my car a lot and what better opportunity to share the gospel – after all, they come to me!

So I searched the Internet looking for a gospel tract with sports cars.  Lo and behold I found a couple that actually had Corvettes on the cover!  I sent away for samples, and they were really great.  But then I got to thinking, Why not develop my own Corvette gospel tract?  Thus Corvette Ministries was born.

The Corvette Ministries Gospel Tract

My intent was to produce a booklet that first discussed interesting facts about the vehicle, and then segued into the gospel.  The front cover of the current version shows a 1954 and a 2014 Corvette with the title, “Corvette Fast Facts and an Important Message.”  Then there are four pages of facts about the vehicle, followed by a dialog about Corvettes in Heaven between two enthusiasts.  Next is a story about Adam and Eve and the Fall of Man.  After that is a situation called Watch Out for that Car! where a Good Samaritan saves the life of a pedestrian.  The tract ends with The Good News, a Prayer for Salvation, and contact information.

Plans for 2017

Currently I am working on locating a pro print shop to mass produce this Gospel Tract.  As it is now, I can only print them one at a time on my office printer.  Soon I hope to be able to supply as many Corvette Ministries Gospel tracts as needed.  Look for that in 2017.

I'm also planning on producing other similar tracts, perhaps for vehicles other than the Corvette, or maybe non-vehicle related Gospel tracts.  Watch this space for more information as it becomes available!
